Egyptian Statues
Egyptians are considered one of the best
and most skilled stone carvers ever. Typical Egyptian statues had
large heads, round plump faces, expressionless and emotionless, arms
set on their sides, hands on the knees sitting on the throne or moving
ahead with left foot forward.
Egyptian statues depict either a religious theme or Egyptian royal
figures. Egyptian statues generally symbolise power. Stone statues of
Pharaoh, kings and queens, high officials and Egyptian Gods are
demanded the most. Black cat statues are quite famous. Egyptian mummy
statues act as artifacts and adorn quite a few houses and resorts.
These statues look good in living rooms, and patios; they are
considered precious objects of art depicting the craftsmanship of the
time and era they belonged to. Egyptian theme rooms are getting
popular and have a unique look. Limestone is mostly used for these
statues.
