Bird Baths

Any nature lover will enjoy the scene of
birds splashing in water, drinking water drop by drop from their tiny
beaks and having fun. Stone bird baths give you a chance to have this
pleasure in the comfortable greens of your garden. The ornamental
stone bird baths add beauty to the garden and gives a perennial source
of water to the colorful and attractive birds.
They are made of marble, granite or sandstone. The marble and
sandstone bird baths can have intricate carvings of twines and
flowers. The granite ones are generally of varied shapes with a smooth
polished finish.
The traditional carved bird baths give an ethnic touch to the garden
or the courtyard and the sleeker shapes style the otherwise
contemporary surroundings. Manufacturers of bird baths these days keep
in mind the modern requirements aesthetics while designing them.
Care should be taken that the bird baths are about 3" -4"
in depth with sloping sides. The inner surface should either be rough
or have some pebbles. It should be kept a little under shade
preferably of tree. Its height should be a little above ground so they
should either have a pedestal or could be hanged.
