Animal Statues
Animal Statues are bigger than normal
animal figures; they are meant for decorating gardens, patios or
lobbies or even pavements and roadsides. These statues provide an
ethnic or traditional look to the surroundings. Large Animal statues
like those of elephants and Lions were famous with the royalty. Such
statues adorned the palaces of kings. Animal statues near the trees
and bushes, near the water body or in the lawns if helps it give a
natural look. These stone carved figures are precious and great
objects of art.
There are certain stone animal figures belonging to medieval times,
depicting the work of craftsmen in that date and age. While some
figures are traditionally carved, others are given an abstract look to
form a modern piece of art.
Animal statues are most commonly made and designed in sandstone,
marble and soapstone. The abstract art statues generally made of
harder stones like granite and limestone. They have simple carvings
yet impart an exotic look.
